Andrea Villaseñor de la Vega
Director, Migration & Forced Displacement
Andrea oversees HIP’s Migration and Forced Displacement program (MFD). She is passionate about social justice, especially when it comes to the violation of human rights of migrants and refugees.
Born in Mexico, Andrea has had the opportunity to work on development and advocacy issues in 6 different countries. She is an expert in gender & development as well as a human rights activist with over 20 years of experience in the field. Prior to joining HIP, Andrea served as the Director of the Jesuit Refugee Service in Mexico. She joins HIP with renewed energy and strong belief that there is a positive future for the protection of human rights of migrants—a future we are writing together through concrete promises and actions.
